Justin Miller

Justin has developed a thorough knowledge of the Australian technology marketplace during the past 20 years. He has successfully founded and managed the aggressive and profitable growth of technology companies, including strategic acquisitions, capital raisings, multi-million dollar sales deals and significant staff growth.

Justin was a Founder and Managing Director of Empired Limited which, under his direction, grew in to a multimillion dollar revenue business and was recognised as Western Australia's fastest growing private enterprise and more significantly, Australia's 10th fastest.

Justin is a co-founder and Non-Executive Director of Watershed Corporate, a business that provides commercialisation consultancy to start-ups and small to medium enterprises. He was a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2003 and 2004, and was also a winner of the 2004 WA Business News 40 under 40 Award.

Justin is also an elected member of the board of the Branch Executive of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA). The AIIA is the peak body of the Australian Information & Communications Technology (AICT) industry.

Executive Director & Vice President Sales & Marketing

Greg Beale

Greg is a Senior Sales and Management professional with more than 20 years experience in technology-related Sales, Marketing and Executive Management positions. He has successfully established and grown the Australian and New Zealand operations for a number of multi-national software companies, and has been responsible for generating multi-million dollar revenues across the Asia Pacific.

Before joining Sensear, he was Regional Manager of Australia and New Zealand for SMARTS Inc, a New York based Software company, whose success at commercialising innovative technology resulted in its US$300m acquisition by EMC Corporation. Greg founded SMARTS operations in Australia and New Zealand and was responsible for successfully establishing the company in the region.

Greg brings global sales and management skills to Sensear through his extensive knowledge and experience with US technology companies.

General Manager Operations & Finance

Roy Barnett

Roy is a technology and operations professional with UK and Australian experience consisting of 18 years in financial services, technology, property and utilities.

He has a track record of prudent business management in growing organisations, including joint venture setup and execution, and acquisition targeting and integration. He brings a demonstrable record of end-to-end delivery in key business transformation programmes, with particularly strong leadership for customer focussed outcomes at all levels.

Prior to Sensear Roy was the CIO of the third largest ISP in Australia – iiNet, where his duties also covered enterprise risk management and business continuity. He has also held CIO and COO roles for a UK based mortgage lender and a property management group.

Roy is a member of the Australian Institute of Directors, and an overseas member of the Institute of Directors – UK. Educationally he has attained a Bachelor of Commerce (information systems), Graduate Diploma and MBA from Curtin University.

Chief Technology Officer

Sven Nordholm

Sven has led the development of the Sensear technology. He is a Professor in Telecommunications at Curtin University and Research Director of the Signal Processing Laboratory at WATRI (Western Australian Telecommunications Research Institute). Sven is recognised as one of the world's leading authorities in the field of microphone arrays and digital signal processing, since publishing his PhD thesis on Broadband Adaptive Beamforming with Applications in Acoustic Signal Processing.

He has published more than 100 research papers, either written individually or with others, and is a registrant in six patents. Sven's work with industry includes consulting to Ericsson and teaching short courses to industry. He is also Research Executive for the Wireless Program of the Australian Telecommunication CRC.

Engineering Manager

David Ward

David is the Engineering Manager at Sensear, leading the Engineering and Production department and overseeing Product Development. He has 30 years of electronic development and project management experience in hardware and embedded software technologies both in Australia and the UK.

More recently David has worked with technology companies assisting them in the transition from a prototype development phase through to efficient volume production.

David holds an honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Western Australia.

National Sales Manager – Australia & New Zealand

Darren Deitz

Darren has held senior positions in Sales Management and Business Development for Wesfarmers Industrial & Safety division and Jeminex Industrial Group and has over 15 years experience in the maintenance, repair, manufacturing and safety industries.

Prior to joining Sensear, Darren was National Sales Manager for Australian Safety Specialists where he played a key role in expanding the business. He has extensive knowledge in the hearing protection marketplace, and experience of both distribution channels and end user markets within the resources, manufacturing, construction, utilities and government sectors.

Sales Director – USA

Matthew Neve

Matthew is an experienced business development and management professional, having worked for cutting edge Asian, European and US based companies. He has extensive international experience in the hearing protection industry having established distribution channels and end user programs across numerous countries.

Matthew is a native Oregonian and a graduate of Oregon State University with additional focused studies at Waseda University in Tokyo.
